A battery energy storage (BESS) scheme developed with Cambridge Power on open land where ecology and biodiversity sat at the centre of the planning conditions.
Liongate prepared a biodiversity-focused Construction Environmental Management Plan alongside the site-specific Construction Management Plan. Habitat protection zones, timing restrictions and working-method controls were built directly into the construction strategy, together with long-term enhancement measures for the site.
Energy infrastructure projects live or die by their environmental compliance — integrating the ecological requirements into the construction documents from day one kept the scheme moving.
