A Site Waste Management Plan (SWMP) is a document required by many UK councils as a planning condition, setting out how construction and demolition waste will be managed. It estimates the types and quantities of waste the project will produce, sets out how waste will be reduced, reused and recycled, and records how remaining waste will be removed by licensed carriers to appropriate facilities. Waste arrangements are also commonly required as part of a wider Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP).
