A development on land north east of Blackhill Amenity Site, delivered with Capbal, where external lighting in a dark rural landscape was a key planning consideration.
Liongate prepared the Lighting Pollution Prevention Report with a full floodlight layout, mounting and aiming specifications and lux control measures — demonstrating that glare and light spill would be controlled in line with recognised guidance. The Construction Method Statement for the works accompanied it.
Dark rural sites are where lighting assessments earn their keep: the report gave the council confidence that the site could operate without degrading the night landscape around it.
