A Demolition and Construction Management Plan (DCMP) is a document required by UK councils as a planning condition when a project involves demolition as well as construction. It sets out how both phases will be managed to minimize the impact on neighbours — covering the demolition sequence and method, dust and noise controls, vehicle routing and site logistics, hoarding and site safety measures. Depending on the council, the same requirement may appear as a Demolition and Construction Management and Logistics Plan (DCMLP), a Demolition and Construction Environmental Management Plan (DCEMP), or a standalone Demolition Statement or Demolition Method Statement; whatever the name, the purpose is the same. In the London Borough of Barnet, our team at Liongate prepared the Demolition and Construction Management and Logistics Plan (DCMLP) for a residential scheme at Hampton Close, supporting the discharge of pre-commencement conditions (ref 22/5644/FUL).
